Penny has twenty years experience in the nonprofit fundraising and management arena, including Executive Director of the Asthma & Allergy Foundation WA Chapter, Development Director for Intercommunity Housing, Big Sisters of King County, and Ettie Lee Family Services in Los Angeles. Penny has also provided consulting services for a variety of nonprofit organizations in developing fundraising programs, building the case for capital campaigns, special event planning and grant management. She has held leadership positions in community coalitions seeking and managing multi-year grants to improve healthcare in low-income and minority communities. She was the developer of Private Initiatives in Public Education (PIPE), as well as a public relations director and television news writer/producer in the private sector. Penny has a degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
