A Resource for Nonprofits. A Partner for Philanthropy.

ESC's bookkeeping service is a great match for organizations that don't want to hire a staff bookkeeper. We have taken the trouble out of finding reliable, experienced bookkeepers who know the ins and outs of nonprofit accounting. Your ESC bookkeeper will work with you to set up a schedule and work description that fits the needs of your organization. And if a tough accounting question comes up, your bookkeeper will have access to ESC's financial management experts and accountants.
Bookkeeping services are typically structured as open-ended contracts that continue on a month-to-month basis. Before getting started, ESC's Bookkeeping Program Manager will meet with you to determine the needs of your organization and select a bookkeeper who will be a good match. ESC can provide full-service bookkeeping including tax payments and payroll, or provide limited assistance with adjustments or financial statements. Whether you need a bookkeeper for one hour a month or five hours a week, ESC can meet your needs.
Rates for bookkeeping services are comparable to professional market rates in the King County area. Fees are charged on an hourly basis and billed monthly. Rates vary depending on the types of services being performed and the size and complexity of your organization.
The foundation of a good relationship with any contract worker is communication, and we strongly encourage clients and bookkeepers to work together to form a strong partnership. ESC conducts formal evaluations of bookkeeper performance after the first six months of a new contract, and annually thereafter. Bookkeepers are supervised by a program manager and ESC's Administrative Manager, and both are available to address concerns or negotiate changes in service.
